When Should I Start the Bikini Body Guide?

Anytime is a good time to start Kayla Itsine’s Bikini Body Guide!

The guide starts on a Monday followed by workouts Wednesday and Friday but you can switch these up to whatever days work for you. Maybe you have a night class or have to be up extra early for work certain days. As long as you’re getting the required circuits/LISS/Rehab per week you can make your own schedule!

Also, if you’re anything like me on my menstrual cycle I would suggest starting the Monday following your period so you don’t have any lazy setbacks. It takes 3 weeks to build a habit so give yourself all the tools necessary to make the Bikini Body Guide stick and you will not regret it!

Birthday Protein Pancakes

I made this yummy breakfast the other week for my roommates birthday. Pancakes are one of my favourite things to eat, in the morning, evening or really any time, and they’re so easy to make. Usually I make the ever popular 1 banana – 2 egg pancakes and add a handful of spinach (gotta get those greens!) but this was a special occasion and I love Cellucor Protein!

It’s That Time Again…

That time of the month that is. If you’re anything like me PMS is a real struggle 12 times a year. First the hormones rage, I am always over emotional. Experiencing real lows where tears can and will fall at any little thing. I listen to sad music over and over while thinking about the past and my daily struggles. I get easily irritable, one bump in my day and I become so frustrated usually taking it out on my loved one the most.

Apple Pie for One

I am a true baker at heart so when I see a scrumptious recipe for one I jump for joy inside! I love to bake cookies, cakes, squares, cupcakes, muffins, anything but that has come to a stop while I am on the HELP nutrition guide. Unless its a birthday or special occasion and I can bake for a lot of people of course. Anyway, I adapted this recipe from the Fit Girl Code blog. Such a great website for motivating posts, workout regimes and meal plans. Definitely check them out!

BBG 1.0 – Round 1

I started Kayla Itsine’s Bikini Body Guide on September 22nd 2014. I wasn’t entirely sure what I was getting myself into but after days of scouring the BBG Instagram community and reading many online reviews I decided to give it a go. I bought some free weights, a kettle bell and a full length mirror to take my progress photos in. My dear friend Trish sent me a package of workout clothes that she no longer fit in and I created my own accountability account @ccp_fit.

February Challenges & Goals

The second month of 2015 feels more like the start of the year to me than January did. I had a lot of things going on in my personal life in January that I wasn’t able to give my full attention and dedication to restarting my healthy lifestyle. I was in no way mentally prepared for the new year like I usually am, however I am more focused and ready to tackle my goals this month!
